Edson Takeuti - Caricature Artist - Nagoya City, Japan

Edson “Tako X” Takeuti is a graduate of The Fine Arts University of Paraná City. Although born in Brazil in 1965, he is of Japanese descent. He decided to return to Japan where he lived and worked in Tokyo as an illustrator. Some of his clients included Xerox Japan, Mitsubish, Mercury Software Japan, Buigenshunju, Kodansha, and Dominos Pizza. In 1995 he crossed the Pacific again and began working in Brazil, where he collaborated with the Brazilian version of MAD Magazine. The majority of his publications for MAD Magazine Brazil were TV program satires and magazine covers. In 2004 he headed back to Japan, where he was accepted as a member of Hoshinoko Company, a prestigious caricature agency in Tokyo.
