Liane Leblanc - Caricature Artist - Hudson, NH

Left handed compliments by S. Liane LeBlanc): A self taught, southpaw with a gentle style of caricature and a lifetime of artistic experience. Liane’s style is colorful, "kind" and lighthearted. The work is all hand drawn and it even looks like the subject! As a caricaturist, she tries to keep her attention directed outward; by examining the light, she notices color and texture.

She studies faces everywhere: public places, on screen, and in print. Faces are interesting– Liane often wonders about the resemblances and differences between them; what history can be seen in the lines? Whenever the lines "capture" a person's essence, a "smile" is present in the drawing. Not an actual smile, but an inner one and caricature portraits should contain that.
