I was an art major in a small Church of Christ college in 1985. That summer a friend of mine talked me into doing amusement park caricatures at Opryland here in Nashville. It was an amazing experience.

I had been raised on a farm and never lived anywhere but a small rural town. It was a wonderful feeling to be able to take some markers and chalk and paper and earn a living. I have been associated with the caricature business at Opryland off and on ever since then.

I love doing caricature gigs. The money is good, and I enjoy the people that I draw. Also, I just love drawing...and seeing good drawing! I'm always trying to find ways to improve my draftsmanship and technique.
