If J.Bird Cremeans looks at you weird, well, it's because she's probably just thinking about what your caricature would look like! The Huntington, WV resident is one of the few caricature artists out drawing regularly in the Tri-State area of West Virginia, Ohio, and Kentucky.

J.Bird was introduced to caricature while still a student at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh when caricature artist Angela Love gave a workshop and spoke to students about the art form. Since then, J.Bird has read and studied more about the art form as she has gained experience. She's got some unconventional experience, too. "In animation class, we would do caricatures of each other and of the teachers and pass them around just for fun,” she recalls.

J.Bird believes that caricatures are the best form of entertainment as everyone can enjoy them. Even if someone is a bit shy of sitting in the chair to be drawn they can have just as much fun as everyone else just watching the artist at work.

Serves:

Hunting, WV and up to 30 miles into the surrounding parts of Ohio, West Virginia, and Kentucky. Events outside of this range will require a $45/hr travel fee for travel time.

Speeds:

  • B&W Heads only: 10-15/hr
  • B&W Bodies: 10-12/hr
  • Color Heads only: 6-8/hr
  • Color Bodies: 5-7/hr

Rate:

$125/hour with a 2 hour minimum.
